The lowdown on the guy behind Dragonskies
Artsy Photo

So who is this mysterious, slightly nerdy, occasionally weird guy behind Dragonskies, anyway?

My name is Anson and I'm a 4th year Computer Science major at UCLA. I enjoy programming and anything related to the Internet, which is what made me want to start this site (see About This Site).

Here are some random tidbits about me, in no particular order:

Religion:

Protestant Christian

Ethnicity:

Chinese, twinkie version

Character traits:

Perfectionist but casual and easygoing, listener, non-conformist, rational and practical, usually reliable, occasionally lazy

Hobbies:

Anything related to computers, music, movies, ice-skating, free-writing, hanging out

Biggest computer interest:

Artificial Intelligence (think Terminator)

Favorite color:

A semi-dark shade of green, like on this site

Cool music genres:

Alternative, rock, pop, Christian, Eurodance, R&B, some rap; I can listen to pretty much anything

Favorite song:

Celine Dion - I Know What Love Is; Canon is my favorite classical song

Best movies:

The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings series, Moulin Rouge, Back to the Future series, Batman Begins, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Shawshank Redemption; I can go on, but I think that's enough

Best anime series:

Not really into anime, but Love Hina is hilarious

Favorite academic subjects:

Computer Science (duh), Psychology and Anthropology (I love learning why we act the way we do)

Post-college plans:

Try to find work, maybe as a Software Engineer; no grad school plans as of now

Pet peeves:

People who cut you off in traffic and then make you brake, second-hand smoke, automatic toilets that flush prematurely, people who don't wash their hands after doing their business, hearing that laser hair removal commercial on the radio

Technology over my head:

Big printers, copy machines, fax machines

Is the glass half full or half empty?:

If you were filling it up, it's half full; if you were drinking from it, it's half empty

Coke or Pepsi?:

Neither, they both make you short
